Things Remembered; Things To Come!

Isaiah 9:6-7 NIV 6For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, b Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. 7Of the increase of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David's throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever.

The Prophet, the Angel, the Holy Mother, the Earthly Father, Bethlehem, the Inn, the manger, the Star, the Wise Men, the Baby. As we come to this time of year and we see the decorations of lights, tress, wreaths, we are taken back to remember a moment in time which all calendars today were changed by, the birth of the Messiah, the Christ.

Reflection can be a great memory or a nightmare; it can bring joy or regret, peace or chaos, and for one who is in Christ is a place of comfort and joy. God sent His only begotten Son that the earth would have a way for the debt of our sin to be removed by the gift of His life.

No matter the emotions Christmas may stir within your soul, it should always be a reminder of the greatest moment in time, the birth of the Savior, Jesus Christ. This should give you pause to remember the love God showed for you and I to make a way for a world to have forgiveness comfort and peace in the midst of war, rage and unrest; that there is coming a better day.

If you are in Christ Jesus, it is not just one day of celebration each year which bring joy and peace, but living everyday knowing you have a future and a hope in the one and only true Messiah, Jesus Christ.

We pause to celebrate the birth of Christ, yet to then look forward to the life we have in Him here on this earth to the Day He will return for all who have believed!

It's a time in all around the world in which we celebrate together the one true reason for the season, Jesus. He was conceived by a Holy anointing, rejected by man and died on the Cross that all who would believe would have eternal life.

As you celebrate this precious day Jesus Birthday, remember the history, remember the love, then look forward to the soon coming day of His return with a hope and expectation that soon and very soon we will see the King of Glory, Jesus Christ face to face. Until then, keep loving, keep sharing and keep expanding the Kingdom of God!
