Living in the Center of God's Will

When I see someone swerving in and out of lanes of traffic, I immediately go into defensive driving mode. Whether the person is in road rage, drunk, or just plain careless, I know they are dangerous. My Daddy always taught us when we were learning to drive; to stay behind someone like this, then you would know what he is up to. Satan the enemy of your soul needs to be kept in eyesight to know what he is doing.

When you know the will of God, you will know the enemy and his tactics. What about you? When you begin to swerve in and out of your spiritual life, are you aware of it? When you start to allow things that are of question to God's honor, and you begin to swerve, are you aware? Are you accountable to others that speak into your life to get you back on track?

When you're accountable, you are teachable! The Holy Spirit desires to guide you into all truth before you fall. Satan desires to have God's children make wrong choices; this gives him a weapon to use against you throughout your day. Nevertheless, God has come to give you life and give it more abundantly. Find someone you can trust, make yourself accountable to God first, then to a Godly friend.

In our world today, there are many distractions that can draw us away from the word, to get us sidetracked from God's heart and will. 

Proverbs 4:27 (NLT)  “Don't get sidetracked; keep your feet from following evil. Keep your focus on the things of God.

Temptation is appealing to the eye; in truth, the Bible tells us sin is pleasant for a season, but then judgment comes. God's heart (direction) for each of us is to be in the center of His will. Obedience aligns us with God's Word, which is His will for us.

Philippians 4:8 (NIV) “Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy--think about such things.”

Be alert in your surroundings; be aware of the twisted truth that comes your way. Be accountable to God and man for who you are as a Christian. Focus on bringing God honor in each and everything you do and say. This is where your life will produce His life for others to taste, touch, and see the love of God.

Psalms 19:11-14 (NASB) “Moreover, by them Your servant is warned; In keeping them there is great reward. 12 Who can discern his errors? Acquit me of hidden faults. 13 Also keep back Your servant from presumptuous sins; Let them not rule over me; Then I will be blameless, And I shall be acquitted of great transgression. 14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O LORD, my rock and my Redeemer.”
